After two stellar seasons at the University of Arkansas, American artistic gymnast Joscelyn Roberson has decided to take her talents to the University of Georgia for the remainder of her college career. And the Bulldogs head coach couldn’t be happier, as she shares a unique connection with the gymnast.

After Roberson decided to enter the transfer portal on April 27, 2026, the University of Georgia Gymnastics program took her on. HC Cécile Canqueteau-Landi expressed her appreciation of Roberson, as she had also coached Roberson previously. Canqueteau-Landi elaborated on this per a May 21 report by the Bulldogs.

"Joscelyn brings so much talent, leadership, and positivity to a team. Being reunited with her means a lot, and I'm excited to work together again to help her and the Georgia GymDogs continue reaching new heights."

The Bulldogs' head coach has a special bond with Roberson. When the 20-year-old gymnast was a US alternative for the 2024 Paris Olympics team, Canqueteau-Landi was the one coaching her. The pair has been a duo for a while now, as Roberson was also training under Canqueteau-Landi at the Houston World Champions Centre.

The coach and gymnast are now reunited on the Bulldogs team, and the roster is richer for it.

Roberson, as Canqueteau-Landi correctly pointed out, brings with her years of experience competing in international events. She has won two golds and two silvers at the Pan American Championships in 2023. The same year, she also won a gold medal at the Antwerp World Championships for her team event.

She matched that with an equally impressive career at Arkansas.

What Did Joscelyn Roberson’s College Career Look Like Before Georgia?

It’s no wonder HC Canqueteau-Landi is elated to have Roberson on her team once again. The college athlete has had a very prestigious career thus far at the University of Arkansas, during which she has also been competing at international events across the globe.

She became the first Arkansas student athlete to represent the school at the Olympics during her time as an alternate at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Her very first season at Arkansas in 2025 saw her be honored as an All-American on beam as well as an All-SEC honoree on beam.

She went on to conclude her freshman season with an all-around National Qualifying Score of 39.450, while ranking inside the top 25 in the nation.

Roberson’s career at Arkansas is also dotted with personal bests

April 2025 saw her achieve her personal best on the uneven bars, with a score of 9.925. She also achieved near-perfect scores on the Balance Beams (9.975 at LSU) and Vault (9.900 at Georgia) between 2025 and 2026.

Having Roberson at Georgia bolsters the gymnastics roster significantly, and coach Canqueteau-Landi seems acutely aware of this fact.
