Cecile Canqueteau-Landi's Georgia Gymnastics Contract Revealed

Cecile Canqueteau-Landi is getting an earnings boost. As the head coach of Georgia gymnastics, she has signed a new contract that extends through 2029.
The university aims to return the national title to Athens under Landi's leadership. She will now make $375,000 a year, effective from May 1, up from the $345,000 she earned annually so far.
Former coach Ryan Roberts has moved to the Auburn Tigers, and the $35,000 boost has come as Cecile Canqueteau-Landi is now the sole head coach for Georgia.
The Athens Banner-Herald learned about the new contract details after making an open records request.

In these last two years, Landi and Robert have pushed Georgia to sixth place in the National Championship. Before coaching in Georgia from 2024, Cecile coached the greatest gymnast of all time, Simone Biles, to Olympic gold in 2020 Tokyo and 2024 Paris
Now, Georgia gymnastics hopes that the Olympic gold medal-winning coach can take them all the way to the top.
Cecile Canqueteau-Landi: From Gymnast To Head Coach
In USA Gymnastics, Cecile Canqueteau-Landi is a Hall of Fame inductee. She competed in the 1996 Olympics for France in Atlanta. She has served as the coach to Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, and Maddie Kocian. She was recognised as the 2024 USA Gymnastics Coach of the Year for Women's Artistic Gymnastics.
In 2024, during the Olympic Trials, around one-third of gymnasts were coached by Cecile. She joined Georgia University after her coaching at the World Champions Centre in Texas. She was Simone's personal coach, along with her husband, Laurent.
The GymDogs had tremendous improvement in the first two years under co-head Landi. They recorded six consecutive 197.000 plus scores, reaching a high of 197.975 against Oklahoma.
Now that her contract has been extended to 2029, her tenure will cover the next 2028 Olympics cycle as the head coach. It will be interesting to watch Georgia's GymDogs train for their place in the Olympics.
