Detroit Is Set to Host the 2027 USA Gymnastics National Championships

All the best young men's and women's gymnasts in the United States will compete in the 2027 Developmental Program National Championships Presented by AAI, at Huntington Place in downtown Detroit, May 13-16, USA Gymnastics announced Tuesday, from its headquarters in Indianapolis, along with the Detroit Sports Commission.
The championships will include the nation's elite level 10 women and level 8 and 9 Junior Elite and level 10 Junior National and Junior Elite men gymnasts to showcase their talent and compete for national titles.
"Hosting the USA Gymnastics Developmental Program National Championships is just the sort of opportunity that the Detroit Sports Commission aims to bring to our region," stated Marty Dobek, Executive Director of the Detroit Sports Commission.

"Major events such as these attract talented athletes and their fans into the community, boost business at area hotels and restaurants, and highlights Detroit in front of visitors from all over the country. It is an honor and a privilege to have USA Gymnastics choose Huntington Place to host this championship event and we look forward to exceeding all expectations for all participants that will join us for the spectacular event in May of 2027."
Serving as the competition which concludes the artistic Development Program season will consist of determining National Team titles and membership. Not only individual medals, but the champions of a men's Regional Team title and a women's club competition known as the "Super Team" will also be decided at the event.
