Elite Gymnast Set to Inspire Young Athletes as Guest Coach at Becca’s Place Camp

Georgia’s new addition, Joscelyn Roberson’s gymnastics career still has a long run to cover. But amidst that, she has taken up a new coaching stint.
“Elite gymnast and national team member, Joscelyn Roberson, will visit the gymnastics center at 4210 Leitchfield Road, Cecilia, for Team Becca’s competitive summer camp set for July 24-26,” announced The News Enterprise’s Greg Thompson.
Having been a member of the U.S. Women’s National Team since 2023 and a 2024 Paris Olympics alternate, Roberson, now 20, will bring in her elite expertise in tumbling and vaulting to the camp, and more.

“Team Becca’s athletes will compete to raise support, with the winning gymnasts eligible for several prizes connected to the summer camp,” Thompson added further. “Including a one-on-one private lesson with Roberson.”
Roberson recently committed to Georgia for her final two NCAA years, but sidelined from elite competition this season. Instead, she'll focus on healing her ankle and foot injuries and getting healthy.
But for now, Roberson's upcoming plan was met with excitement from Becca’s Place Camp’s Co-owner and coach, Jessika Bohannon-Ferriss.

Having won the 2023 Worlds gold, the 2025 Worlds bronze, and multiple Pan Am medals, Roberson will undoubtedly make an excellent coach. And Ferriss echoed the same sentiment.
“We are thrilled to welcome Joscelyn,” she said. “Our athletes look up to gymnasts like her. So, having the opportunity to learn directly from someone competing at the highest level is incredibly meaningful and motivating.”
For now, Roberson’s goal is to clinch an NCAA title with the Bulldogs before trying her hand at the 2026 LA Games. But before that, the 20-year-old gymnast taking a role in coaching and contributing to shape a younger generation of gymnasts will be an intriguing watch.
