Jade Carey’s Return: When and How to Watch the Star at the 2026 USA Gymnastics American Classic

Gymnastics star Jade Carey’s two-year respite away from the mats is coming to an end, as the 2026 American Classic nears.
Scheduled on 26-27 June at Twin City Twisters East in Minneapolis, Minnesota, this event will be Carey's first elite appearance since the 2024 Paris Games. And this return aligns with her April statement about continuing her gymnastics career.
"Gymnastics has always been at the center of my life. And I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting," Carey said in her Instagram video posted on April 25. "I still have more to give. And I’m not done yet,” she concluded, with a “See you soon” appearing on the dark screen.

Qualifying this event and the US Classics will be the two chances for Carey to get into the US Championship, set for August, marking a blazing re-entry to elite competition.
2020 Tokyo Games gold medalist and 2024 Paris Games gold and bronze medalist, Carey completed her NCAA career at Oregon State University as a student-athlete and student coach. But somewhere along the way, she even saw the end coming.
“I do really fully see this next three years or whatever it is, as the end of my gymnastics journey," Carey told Olympics.com in May 2026. "So really just going out with being proud of myself and knowing that I gave it my all."
But seemingly, it’s not ending anytime soon. And that’s even more reason why we need to know where and when to watch the Olympian compete at the American Classics.
2026 USA Gymnastics American Classic – full schedule
Friday, June 26
- 3:30 pm – Hopes Classic, 11-12 age (Central time)
- 7:30 pm – Hopes Classic, 13-14 age (Central time)
Saturday, June 27
- 9:45 am – American Classic, Juniors (Central time)
- 1:30 pm – American Classic, Seniors (Central time)
Carey will compete in the senior competitions set for Saturday, 1:30 pm.
