Arkansas gymnastics star Joscelyn Roberson is entering the transfer portal. The announcement follows her role in the Razorbacks' historic seventh-place finish at the 2026 NCAA semifinals.

Roberson leaves Fayetteville as a world gold medalist with two years of eligibility remaining. Her departure marks a significant shift for the program's lineup.

Roberson shared a message on Instagram to Hog Nation about her decision to leave the University of Arkansas. She thanked everyone for their steady support over the past two years, saying her fans were her foundation.

"It's been an honor to share my passion for gymnastics inside Bud Walton Arena with all of you. Thank you for always showing me love, respect, and kindness. I will cherish those memories forever." She wrote.

She confirmed she is leaving and explained that after much thought, consideration, and prayer.

"After much thought, consideration, and prayer; I have decided to enter into the transfer portal. My decision comes from a place of love for all of you and respect for the University of Arkansas. Getting to know and be coached by Jordyn, Chris, Kyla, and Catelyn has been an absolute dream come true." She wrote.

Roberson emphasised how special the Arkansas program was to her and said she is confident the team’s future will be bright, even as she moves on from the Gymbacks and closes this chapter and moves onto the next.

From World Medalist to the Transfer Portal

Joscelyn Roberson was the first Arkansas gymnast to win a World Championship gold medal in 2023 in Belgium as part of the USA Team.

She kept up her strong performances by winning bronze on vault at the 2025 World Championships. She also took gold at the 2023 American Championship in Medellin, balancing both college and international gymnastics.

At the 2026 Championship, she played a key role in helping the team achieve its highest-ever national ranking, finishing seventh overall. Her vault score of 9.950 gave the team a strong start, and her 9.9375 on floor and 9.875 on beam helped secure this historic finish.

As her time in Arkansas ends, she leaves a big gap in the Razorbacks' lineup as she starts a new chapter. Her two years in Fayetteville were remarkable, and her note to Hog Nation shows the strong respect she has for the fans.
