Jordyn Lyden shared a post on social media on May 5 announcing that she is transferring to Louisiana State University. After entering the transfer portal last week, Lyden has found a new destination with the LSU Tigers, where she will finish her collegiate gymnastics career.

Following three successful years with the Minnesota Golden Gophers, Lyden will look to write a memorable final chapter in her gymnastics journey at LSU.

In her Instagram post, she said, “After a lot of thought, prayer, and trusting God’s plan for me, I’m beyond excited and grateful to announce that I’ll be finishing my career at Louisiana State University.”

“This opportunity means everything to me, and I truly couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead. Huge thank you to Jay, G, Courtney, and Haleigh for welcoming me with so much love and support from day one. You made this place feel like home, even though I’m farther from home than I’ve ever been,” the Stillwater, Minnesota native added.

Lyden also acknowledged her support system for standing by her throughout her journey. She remarked, “To my family and friends—thank you for always having my back through every step of this journey. I wouldn’t be here without you.”

“Most importantly, all the glory goes to God. I’ve felt His guidance the entire way, and I trust this is exactly where I’m meant to be. Geaux Tigers!” Lyden concluded.

Jordyn Lyden’s performances in the 2026 season with Minnesota

Jordyn Lyden had an incredible 2026 season with the Minnesota Golden Gophers, earning College Gym News’ Breakout Gymnast of the Year honors. She delivered key performances as Minnesota finished fourth at the NCAA Championships last month after advancing to the final.

As a result, Lyden was named a First-Team All-American on floor at the 2026 NCAA Championships. She also recorded career-high scores of 9.950 on both the floor exercise and balance beam this season.

In addition, Lyden was named a Big Ten Gymnast to Watch and earned a spot on the All-Big Ten First Team.
