Jennifer McMillan has traded her Oregon State orange for Mizzou black. This move is indicated as a strategic play by the Mizzou Tigers to climb the SEC ranking from the next season.

McMillan has officially transferred to the Mizzou Gymnastics as the first acquisition of the year 2026. The news was confirmed by Grace Ainger, The Flipside Show reporter, on her social media platform X on May 2.

McMillan has expressed her excitement to be part of the new path on Instagram.

“A New Path, the Zou path,” read the caption of her Instagram post on May 2. “I am beyond blessed and so excited to share that I will be furthering my athletic and academic career at the University of Missouri.”

As reported by Ainger, McMillan was the best on the uneven bars and balance beam during the last season. Her highest beam score during the season was 9.925, and on the 2025 National Qualifying Scores, she reached 9.845 for uneven bars and 9.860 on balance beam.

Her 9.775 on the floor at the Stanford Quad also defined her collegiate best, making her a valuable asset for the Tigers.

McMillan missed the 2026 season due to an injury she sustained in November 2025, which required surgery. This highlights her resilience to come back after being sidelined for the 2026 season.

Mizzou has shown immense confidence in McMillan's ability, knowing that she has been sidelined over the past few months.

What Jennifer McMillan Brings to Mizzou Camp

The decision to bring McMillan to Mizzou is strategically a great move, as she has proven through her high scores of 9.950 at the 2024 Mean Girls Super 16 Championship. The stats are enough for McMillan to boost the Tigers' rankings in the NCAA Championships.

McMillan was named to the 2025 Pac-12 Winter Academic Honour Roll, highlighting her hard work as an athlete who showed mental strength to handle injury.

Her comeback is still expected to be a 9.9 plus for the upcoming competitions next year, as she has proven with her individual best score of 39.075 as an all-around, making her the perfect fit for Mizzou’s future.

Her transfer into the Mizzou Tigers marks her fifth year of eligibility. McMillan arrives from Oregon State with experience competing on bars and beam at NCAA Regionals.

Missouri has openings to fill for both events, and the Tigers have a strong history of developing transfer specialists into standout performers.
