After dedicating five years to the California gymnastics program, a prominent figure of the Golden Bears is describing her experience as a full circle from the standout athlete to assistant coach.
Gymnastics Now confirmed the news of the departure of Mya Lauzon from the University of California via X on May 1, 2026. And Lauzon herself penned down a note on social media for the same.
"TEAM 52!! What a full circle moment. These last couple of months have been so exciting with such an amazing group of people. Truly grateful for one last season cheering on my girls and supporting bear nation! Thank you @calwgym & go bears 4evaaaa!!!" Lauzon captioned the post.

The departure of Mya was more than just a normal graduation, as it led to the end of her double-layered collegiate career.
Her debut in 2022 to her goodbye in 2026 represents the transition to a leadership role, and her legacy is defined by her guidance off the mat and her performance on the mat.
