Olivia Dunne Keeps It Real With Unfiltered Reaction During Paul Skenes' Rough Outing

Olivia Dunne had a front-row seat for one of Paul Skenes' rougher starts of the season. The Pittsburgh Pirates ace was tagged for four runs by the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre on Saturday. And the cameras caught Livvy's honest reaction in real time.

It didn't take long for things to go wrong. On just the third pitch of the game, George Springer launched a Skenes offering into left field. Dunne's jaw dropped from her seat in the stands.

"F---," she was seen mouthing. Twice. The moment was caught on the broadcast and quickly went viral.

It was a tough day to be a Pirates fan. The defending AL champion Blue Jays kept hammering away at Skenes all afternoon. He gave up nine hits in five innings and struck out only two batters.

The final score was 5-2 in Toronto's favor. Skenes threw 98 pitches and walked off the mound clearly frustrated.

"There was good and bad," Skenes said after the game. "(I) need to get ahead in counts. I wasn't super unhappy with some of the execution on some of the pitches, but could have executed a number of them better."

This was the second straight rough outing for the young ace. Last week, the Phillies tagged him for five runs over five innings. He still struck out seven but got no run support.

"I think in every start, there's a little bit of that cat-and-mouse game," Skenes added. "At the end of the day, just got to get ahead of guys."

His season numbers are still solid. Skenes has made 11 starts and holds a 3.00 ERA with 65 strikeouts. The Pirates sit at 26-26 on the year.

Dunne later poked fun at the viral moment on Instagram. On Sunday, she posted a photo dump from the game with a fitting caption.

"Occasionally profane," she wrote. The post ended with a screengrab of her now-famous moment from the game. She also shared a separate Instagram Story with the line, "Yk im locked in."

Olivia Can Get Pretty Superstitious While Watching Skenes on the Mound

Saturday's outburst wasn't a one-off. Dunne has admitted that watching Skenes pitch is a nerve-wracking experience for her. And she's got the rituals to prove it.

Earlier this month, the former LSU gymnast opened up about her superstitions on The Tonight Show. The May 13 episode saw her share some hilarious details with host Jimmy Fallon.

"I usually wear an Oura Ring, and it tells me I'm going to explore and die every time I watch him," Dunne joked. The audience cracked up at her honest answer.

She then dropped a fun fact about her game-day routine. It involves a lot of yelling.

"I'm a little superstitious," she said. "So I have to scream before every single pitch at the top of my lungs, 'Let's go, Paul!'"

Fallon was quick with a joke. "So if you go to a game, you don't want to sit in front of you," he said.

Dunne fired right back. "I mean, unless you want to cheer with me," she laughed. Fans now know exactly what they're getting if they end up next to her at PNC Park.
