From sharing TikToks to starring in Baywatch, Olivia Dunne's multi-million dollar net worth wasn't built in a day. Initially, Dunne led the LSU gymnastics program on the global map through her massive fan following that completely changed the game for college sports.

'Livvy's' social media growth became a win-win scenario for LSU and her career after the NCAA NIL rules went into effect in July 2021. After this, she became one of the most prominent faces in gymnastics with 13 million followers across social media platforms.

With her securing a huge deal like $4.1 million NIL evaluation, Olivia was ranked the highest-earning female athlete in the nation. Her online presence actually transformed the LSU gymnastics financial market forever. It was noted that no other LSU gymnast other than Olivia had garnered so much attention before.

This historic achievement was actually set in motion by Olivia way before she was even allowed to earn a profit. She shared her vision with Baton Rouge-area publication InRegister in February 2021, stating,

"I love to use my platform to give LSU the hype," Dunne said, “They deserve it. This is truly the best school ever, and I always get so many likes whenever I post about LSU."

Years later, her early vision was finally successful as the data proved that she was an asset to LSU. According to LSU's official financial 2024 report, because of the Olivia Dunne effect, an unprecedented surge in revenue was seen.

Before her arrival and the NIL deal, the revenue was $487,000. But by 2024, a record of $1.05 million was generated. This growth also helped Dunne capture mainstream stardom for herself.

From being the most followed NCAA athlete to transitioning into Hollywood, Dunne definitely dominated in every aspect of her career. Starring in Baywatch and appearing on Jimmy Fallon's show, she is proving how her digital platform can turn fame into a global career.

The Livvy Fund

By building her own massive empire, Olivia Dunne was keen on pursuing the same dream for other female student-athletes at LSU, also. Dunne launched “The Livvy Fund” in July 2023 by partnering with Bayou Traditions Collective, which was LSU's official NIL collective.

She built a path for the LSU Tigers that helped them secure major brand deals. This project was personally important for her as it helped to bridge the financial gap between male and female athletes.

By October, the Accelerator energy drink company signed NIL with eight additional LSU gymnasts using her fund.

“I just wanted to help other women and give them opportunities to learn and have more NIL deals because they deserve it just as much as I do," Dunne said to People Magazine.”

Today, the Livvy Fund is bringing whole new partnering deals for the athletes. A major partnership with brands like Purina, Nautica, and Accelerator Active Energy has signed major deals with Olivia, and a portion of that agreement helps support other LSU Tigers. From there, Bayou Traditions selects female athletes from the campus who match the exact brand for NIL opportunities.

Through her fund, she is proving that success is not measured by wealth but by how you open doors for others. As a true champion, she used her resources well and turned her digital empire into a financial game, and today she is helping female athletes build their own empires.

Other than Dunne, can you name any other athlete whose growth in popularity benefited their alma mater as well?
