Olivia Dunne is no stranger to going viral, but her latest clapback to a social media troll grabbed attention for a different reason. The former LSU gymnast recently clapped back at a critic who doubted her athletic prowess.

The 23-year-old posted a video of herself on TikTok doing cartwheels on the beach, giving fans a taste of the gymnastics skills that made her one of the biggest stars in NCAA sports. The video quickly gained traction, but one user tried to mock her, saying, “Literally the only thing can do.”

“*with a fractured kneecap," Dunne responded.

Dunne addressed the comment directly, saying that she did the gymnastics moves even though she was competing while injured, per a report via College Football Network.

Her reply quickly went viral, with many fans applauding her for standing up to online criticism.

The exchange also generated fresh attention on the injury that ended her collegiate gymnastics career.

Dunne announced her official retirement from gymnastics following LSU’s performance at the 2025 NCAA Gymnastics Championships. She went to the competition with the Tigers, but an avulsion fracture on her kneecap kept her from competing in the national finals.

The injury ended Dunne’s five-year career at LSU, where she became one of the most recognizable young athletes in college sports.

However, off the mat, she gained a large online following and became a recognizable name in the NIL era through endorsement deals and content creation.
