As a gymnast, the news of an injury could’ve given Shawn Johnson a scare. But now a mother of three, the Olympic medalist admitted to having one big change.

"The ER now comes to our house," she explained during a recent interview with E! News. "When you start stitching up faces in your living room, I think it shows that this might be, not a problem, but we're a little too comfortable with it."

Sharing a daughter, Drew (6), and two sons, Jett (4) and Bear (2), with her husband, former NFL player Andrew East, Johnson revealed that Jett is into two-wheeler sports. And as a result, he gets injuries often. Although she hasn't specified the incident.

Surprisingly, a knee injury was one of the reasons why Johnson withdrew from the 2012 London Games. But now, together with her husband, she let their children pick their sports, even if it comes with injury scares.

"When our kids are young, Andrew will pull up YouTube clips. We'll look at every sport, we'll look at every hobby… just to see if something catches our kids' interest,” she added. “And from the time our 4-year-old was, like, 1, anything with two wheels lit him up."

But despite her laidback approach, a recent incident was a reminder that she’s still a mother of a child with an adventurous personality.

Jett's Dirt-Bike Debut Sparked a Panicky Moment for Shawn Johnson

Last month, Jett rode a dirt bike for the first time, on a real track. Johnson shared the photos on Instagram on May 3, and her caption revealed what she felt seeing the 4-year-old live in his dream.

"I just lost 3 years of my life watching Jett ride a real track for the first time," she wrote over the picture. "We were a literal circus out there doing everything wrong, we possibly could hahaha. And still left with Jett saying 'I want to do that forever and ever.”

Moving forward with a mom who clinched 4 Olympic medals at the 2008 Beijing Games and a father with a 5-year NFL Career, it’ll be intriguing to see if Jett rises as a motorsport athlete.
