American gymnast Simone Biles, who hasn’t competed in the sport for quite some time, reunited with her teammates for a special celebration. She joined her 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships gold medalist team, which included Maggie Nichols, Aly Raisman, and Madison Kocian, for the latter’s wedding.

The reunion happened during Madison Kocian’s wedding ceremony with investment banker Jack Hughes on Saturday, May 23. As per Gymnastics Now on X, Nichols shared a photo of herself posing with Biles, Raisman, and Kocian on Instagram Stories with a caption.

“The beautiful bride to be!! @madison_kocian.”

Notably, these four incredible gymnasts, along with Gabby Douglas, clinched the gold medal in the women’s team event for the United States at the 2015 Worlds in Glasgow, United Kingdom. They put together a combined team score of 181.338 to beat China (176.164)  and Great Britain (172.380).

Biles was also a part of the famed “Final Five” alongside Raisman, Kocian, Douglas, and Laurie Hernandez at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. During the women’s team event, they won the gold medal for the USA with a combined score of 185.238.

With that, the Final Five were able to finish well ahead of silver medalists China (175.279) and bronze medalists Russia (174.620) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, nearly 10 years ago.

Biles’ Coach, Cecile Landi, Showed Up For Kocian’s Wedding

Cecile Landi, who coached Simone Biles for years before her gymnastics break in 2024, showed up for Madison Kocian’s wedding with Jack Hughes. Just like Biles herself, Landi was also the coach of Kocian at Team USA during the height of her career before retiring in 2020.

In her post about the wedding on Instagram Stories, as per Gymnastics Now on X, Landi shared a picture in which she was posing alongside Kocian and the rest of her family.

“What a beautiful bride to be,” said the caption.

Moreover, despite her personal struggles, Biles still gives more than her time of day to her family and friends on every possible occasion.

Will the sporting world get the chance to see Simone Biles in action once more on the gymnastics mat? Please let us know in the comments.
