Simone Biles has been on a summer vacation at a beach location after jetting off yesterday with her husband, Jonathan Owens.

From there, she took the time to share a few photos of her getaway on social media, confirming her recovery from a recent health concern.

“Much needed couples massage 🤍” read the Instagram story from Biles on Sunday, June 14, accompanied by a photo of the massage room.

It was on June 6 when Simone Biles announced on social media that she had a health concern. In a series of Instagram stories, she revealed the photos of her hospitalization and the road to recovery from the health concern.

“I'm not one to normally share things like this because I value privacy in today's age,” Biles wrote in her official statement on Instagram, which was accompanied by a photo of her arm in patient identification wristbands. “But almost dying wasn't on my bingo card earlier this week.”

She called it “one of, if not the scariest experiences of [her] life,” especially since her husband, Jonathan Owens, wasn’t around to support her due to work.

Biles also stated that she is taking bed rest to improve her health and promised to explain what caused it “sooner or later.”

In the subsequent stories on Instagram, she posted a couple of flower bouquets in glass vases and a photo of herself in bed with her dogs around.

A couple of weeks later, the recovery from Biles has been quite commendable, which will give her fans hope to see her back in elite gymnastics sooner rather than later. Meanwhile, she has been enjoying her vacation.

Simone Biles Reveals Belize as Her "Favorite Vacation Spot"

On Sunday, June 15, Simone Biles also posted a video of her summer vacation getaway on Instagram. The gymnastics legend revealed that she and her husband are currently in Belize, an island nation in Central America, calling it her "favorite vacation spot."

“TRAVEL W/ ME TO BELIZE 🏝️👙💕🐚 #dualcitizenship #Belize,” she captioned her video post.

Biles gave the background to her connection in Belize, stating that her mother and the maternal side of the family were born and raised in the country. This is why she used the words “dual citizenship” in the caption of her post on social media, not just for herself but also for her siblings.

The seven-time Olympic gold medalist also mentioned that she spent some of her time growing up in Belize. At that time, Belize didn’t even have freshwater for the sink or shower, according to her, which is why she and her siblings had to bathe with seawater there.

Moreover, it is a great sign that Biles returned to her normal day-to-day life and went on a vacation with Owens after a major emergency related to her health earlier this month.​
