Simone Biles celebrated her third wedding anniversary with a heartfelt Instagram tribute to husband Jonathan Owens. The gymnast shared the message alongside photos from their wedding day.

“3 years down, forever to go…happy anniversary my husband! @jowens... These photos are the epitome of our relationship… being in love with you is so fun,” she wrote in the caption.

The relationship between Biles and Owens began in early 2020 after they met through the dating app Raya. After spending a lot of time together during the pandemic when the world of sports came to a literal standstill, they announced their engagement on February 15, 2022.

Biles and Owens married on April 22, 2023, in an intimate ceremony in a courthouse in Texas. They later organized a bigger celebration in Cabo San Lucas on May 6 of the same year for exactly 144 guests.

In one of his interviews with Today, Jonathan Owens spoke about his time together with Biles during the pandemic. He said, “It was one of the few times in [Simone's] life where everything was just shut off, and she couldn't do anything.”

“So we used it to get to know each other - really get to know each other. It created our bond and made it stronger. Now I'm so thankful,” he added.

Simone Biles isn’t sure about competing at LA 2028

With the 2028 Games two years away, Biles has yet to confirm her participation. The American discussed it during an interview with CNN Sports last month at the Laureus World Sports Awards in Madrid.

“I feel like we’re still at a 50-50 and that we’re still on a time crunch here now, it’s almost half of 2026. We’re going to have to make these decisions pretty quickly,” said Simone Biles.

Biles also alluded to what it would take for her to represent her country at LA 2028. She explained, “Mental health plays a big role in it because, physically, my coaches will get me in shape."

"I can get myself in shape. We believe in that ability. We’re really thankful that I’m still healthy. Mental is a huge thing, and it’s a lot of dedication on that because the road’s not easy. It’s long, but it’s still work," she added.

Earlier, Biles had promised to be at the Olympics in “some capacity” if not competing at the 2028 Games. Yet, tell us what you thought about Bile's Instagram post in the comments.
