American gymnast Simone Biles is one of the most decorated athletes in the sport, having dominated the Olympic Games and World Championships for more than a decade. While she has wowed audiences worldwide with extraordinary performances on the floor, her off-the-field efforts have captured the imagination just as much.

Biles has become a hero to many, especially young children who look to her for inspiration. The 29-year-old has shown great care for kids over the years, connecting with them personally through organizations such as Kids Wish Network and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In one such act a couple of days ago, Biles granted a wish for a young gymnast named Avery through Kids Wish Network.

She spent time with Avery at the World Champions Centre (WCC) in Spring, Texas.

On its official Instagram account, WCC shared a few pictures from their meeting on Saturday, May 2, in which Biles was seen offering valuable advice to Avery, who appeared fully engaged.

The caption read: “So much heart in one moment… Avery from Kids Wish Network got to spend time with the one and only @simonebiles —and the smiles say it all.”

“Moments like these remind us how powerful kindness, courage, and a little bit of magic can be. Thank you for inspiring us, Avery!” WCC added.

Simone Biles has granted multiple wishes to kids over the years

Last December, Simone Biles visited the WTOP office in Washington, D.C., to grant the wish of a young gymnast, Haley Gibson, through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Meeting her hero in person, Gibson was completely overwhelmed with excitement. The 11-year-old said of the interaction, “She did the opposite of disappointing me. She lightened me. She helped me through the struggles I was going through and just made me feel so much better.”

“She was really sweet. She listened, she gave good answers. She was patient,” little Gibson added.

Biles began actively granting wishes in 2018, when she teamed up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to meet young cheerleader Lana Stroehlein from New York. Stroehlein, who was battling multiple illnesses at the time, fulfilled her dream of flipping alongside the gymnastics superstar.

In 2019, Biles joined Kids Wish Network at WCC to bring joy to young gymnast Emily McPhail, who was suffering from a life-threatening illness. She met the then-12-year-old and posed for pictures not only with her, but also with her parents.

As a former foster child herself, Biles also partnered with the Friends of the Children organization. In 2025, she made a $50,000 donation to help the organization find mentors for children in foster care.
