Jade Carey, who last competed in elite gymnastics in 2024, announced her comeback last month. Following a "I'm not done yet" message, the two-time Olympic gold medalist is expected to start competing early.

As per analyst Katherine Keirns on X, Carey could be back as early as next month.

"Reddit is reporting local news are saying Jade Carey is returning to competition at US Classic in June," Keirns reported Friday. "Either she's returning to American Classic in June or US Classic in July. Just so no one is confused. US Classic is not in June."

Carey took part in the 2024 Paris Olympics Games and then went on to finish her NCAA gymnastics career with Oregon State University. Then she took up a role as the Student Assistant Coach for the program there.

Since then, speculation has been running rampant about what will be her first gymnastics event upon returning to the sport.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist last took the competition floor at the 2025 NCAA Championships before ending her college career.

Carey's return to the competition floor represents a significant emotional milestone for both the Olympic champion and her fanbase. Before entering competitive events, the 25-year-old could attend the US national team camp in May to re-enter the system.

Jade Carey shared a video on Instagram last week to reveal her decision to return to elite gymnastics. She talked about taking the journey one year at a time in the caption of her post.

“Gymnastics has always been at the centre of my life, and I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting," she said in the short video. "Gymnastics has taught me so many lessons about growth, resilience, and passion. The journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been unforgettable. I wouldn’t be able to do this without the love and support from you all. So thank you.”

Moments before the message “SEE YOU SOON” flashed on the screen. She concluded by saying, “With that being said, I still have more to give, and I’m not done yet.”

With the 2026 US Gymnastics Championships set to happen in August in her hometown of Phoenix, Arizona, Carey just might save her comeback for it.

Regardless, after not competing in elite gymnastics since Paris 2024, she will be looking to build herself up ahead of the LA 2028 Olympic Games at home.
