The U.S. Classic Is Coming Back to Chicagoland in 2027

INDIANAPOLIS (Sept. 8, 2026)- For the 10 th time in the history of the competition the Chicago area will play host to the nation's top women gymnasts as USA Gymnastics announces that Chicagoland will be home to the 2027 Xfinity U.S. Classic, July 23-24 at NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates.

The 2027 Xfinity U.S. Classic is part of 2028 Olympic preparation in that it will serve as the women's last qualifier to the 2027 Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships.
The NOW Arena is a regular host to one of the final elite events each year since successfully hosting the pre-Olympic year U.S. Classic in 2023 that saw Simone Biles and Suni Lee make triumphant returns to the elite scene for a sold-out show. Stars such as Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey and Katelyn Ohashi all have indicated that they will return to the sport of gymnastics and are attempting to earn a trip to the 2028 Olympic Games.
"With LA28 on the horizon, the 2027 Xfinity U.S. Classic provides an early indication of who may eventually contend for a place on the Olympic team for LA," says Chief Programs Officer for USA Gymnastics Stefanie Korepin. "We look forward to returning to the great state of Illinois and offering fans an early look at pre-Olympic competition."
The Xfinity U.S. Classic has had many of gymnastics greatest stars as its champions since its debut including Simone Biles, Nastia Liukin, Aly Raisman, Amanda Borden, Dominique Dawes and Jaycie Phelps to name a few.
In addition to junior and senior competition in the 2027 Xfinity U.S. Classic the meet also marks the third consecutive year the Hopes Championships will be hosted at an Xfinity U.S. Classic, for elite-track gymnasts between the ages of 11-14.
