Top 10 Gymnastics Training Centers in North America Every Future Olympian Dreams of Joining

From Olympic medalists, World Championship competitors, NCAA champions, or national team members, gymnasts are all about strength, balance, and body control. But what truly refines them are their gyms and experienced coaching.

So, as a future gymnast in the making, a parent looking for a suitable program, or a coach taking notes, here’s a look at 10 such Gymnastics Training Centers in North America that have all the requirements ticked.

World Olympic Gymnastics Academy (WOGA)

Based in Frisco, Texas, this 32,000-square-foot facility has been the U.S. National Team’s training center. On top of that, it produced Carly Patterson and Nastia Liukin, two individual Olympic all-around gold medalists.

Founded by Valeri Liukin and Yevgeny Marchenko, the WOGA trains at the recreational level to elite and beyond. Considering their developmental pathways, this program takes first place with ease.

All Olympia Gymnastics Center

Second in the list would be this non-profit gym from Los Angeles. Unlike many, AOGC selects gymnasts across the country to train them.

With a coaching staff that is formed by several Olympic and Hall of Fame gymnasts, this small program has produced a staggering number of Olympians, World Champions, and National Team members.

GAGE Center

Having garnered its reputation for over 45 years, Missouri’s Great American Gymnastics Express was founded by Al Fong and Armine Barutyan. This athlete-first organization has produced Olympian Courtney McCool and Mohini Bhardwaj.

Despite providing ninja obstacle courses and entertainment programming, competitive training remains the crux of GAGE.

Capital Gymnastics National Training Center

Covering women's and men's artistic gymnastics, power tumbling, trampoline, and XCEL since 1990, Capital Gymnastics NTC in Burke, Virginia, trains athletes on 3 different levels. The Elite, TOPS, and HOPES athletes train under the same roof.

For serious gymnasts around the mid-Atlantic region who are aiming to turn their NCAA or Olympic dream true, this remains a top-tier program.

Brestyan's American Gymnastics

Standing in the middle of the list is Mihai Brestyan’s facility, located outside of Boston. As one of the premier training facilities on the East Coast, this program has trained 2012 Olympic gold medalist Aly Raisman.

This offers recreational, competitive, and elite programs in the Northeast backed by competition-grade equipment and elite coaching.

East York Gymnastics

This 33,000-square-foot facility, based in Toronto, is packed with over 50 nationally certified coaches. From the recreational level to elite, East York Gymnastics ensures qualification for Ontario Championships, Eastern Canadian Championships, and Canadian Nationals.

For those looking for elite-level training in Canada, East York remains a highly considered name.

Gemini Gymnastics

Backed by over 20 "Club of Excellence" and "Club of Distinction" awards, this facility in Oshawa, Ontario, has produced 25 Canadian all-around champions, 13 Elite Canada champions, and over 130 Ontario all-around champions.

If competitive training with great development to elite or world stage level is the goal, Gemini is the place to be.

Texas Dreams Gymnastics

Based in Coppell, Texas, this facility trains gymnasts into national-level athletes, Junior Olympic national qualifiers and national team hopefuls while reducing burnout.

As one of the most consistent programs in the country, Texas Dreams’ athletes have made frequent appearances in the Nastia Liukin Cup, U.S. Classic, and U.S. Championships.

Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy

The head coach, Mary Lee Tracy, keeps being the pivot that attracts attention to this program. Other than training 1996 Olympic team members, Amanda Borden and Jaycie Phelps, Tracy has developed more than 25 national team members.

CGA provides elite training, recreational classes, and a strong XCEL program. It opens the pathway to higher stages for gymnasts in the Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana region.

Toronto Gymnastics International

Last but not least, TGI focuses on an athlete-centered approach to development. The facility provides recreational and elite-level training in an environment surrounded by great equipment and excellent coaching.

For the families across the greater Toronto area, this remains a top-listed program to give serious gymnasts a much-needed push.
