The future of U.S. gymnastics is already taking shape, even before the next Olympics. As USA Gymnastics announces its 2026 Future Stars team, a new group of young gymnasts gets its first real step forward.
The U.S. men’s program is known for top gymnasts, regularly turning young talent into Olympic-level athletes. Continuing with the same, USA Gymnastics has announced its 2026 Future Stars team, selecting 26 boys aged 10 to 12 after their performances at the Men’s Development Program Eastern and Western Championships.
The group will head to Colorado Springs in late June for a camp at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Centre, where they’ll train in a high-level setup and get a feel for what comes next.
As reported by USA Gymnastics, this year’s team was finalised after evaluations at two major national events. The Eastern Championships in Palm Beach and the Western Championships in Galveston were the key qualifiers, where these young gymnasts had to show they were ready for the national level.
The Future Stars Development Camp will run from June 28 to July 2, 2026, at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Centre. It’s the first step in the men’s Elite Pathway, where many top gymnasts have started their journey.
Along with the 26 selected athletes, around 30 Level 6 JE gymnasts and their coaches will also attend, bringing together nearly 60 young athletes for the camp.
According to the April 28 announcement from Indianapolis, the Future Stars Program focuses on developing young male gymnasts at an early age. By spotting talent early, the U.S. men’s program builds a strong group of athletes who are better prepared for the sport’s higher levels.
Here’s a simple breakdown of the age groups and the players picked from different regions for the 2026 team.
Breakdown of the 2026 Team Selection
The 2026 team is divided into three age groups: 10, 11, and 12. There are 10 athletes in each of the 10 and 11 groups, while 6 made it in the 12 group.
Many athletes on this team train at well-known gyms across the country. Lakeshore Academy of Gymnastics leads the list with multiple selections, followed by Cypress Academy of Gymnastics, SCATS Gymnastics, and EVO Gymnastics. These programs stay closely connected with the national setup and continue to build strong young athletes.
The list also highlights athletes across all three age groups. In the 10-year category, names like Jordan Barboza, Eduardo Espana, and Karlvin Saineant are included. The 11-year group features Mason Collins, Clive DiMarco, and Luca Leykin, while Lucas Almeida, Kurtis Bateman, and Tait Rosen are part of the 12-year group.
And this is just the start for these young gymnasts. Now the question is, who takes the next step from here, and who stands out when the level gets tougher?
